Tsai-Ling Tseng (1991, Taipei, Taiwan) lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. Tseng received her BFA from the School of Visual Arts, New York and her MFA from The
School of The Art Institute of Chicago. Her paintings depict dystopic and fantastic worlds, which reflect Tseng's intimacy and her personal thoughts about life and relationships, transformed by the alchemy of imagination. The main subjects of her works are anthropomorphic creatures, usually with an extremely yellow skin (a reference to her Taiwanese heritage), emotionally characterized by strong brush strokes and bright colors.
